Juyeon Yoo (유주연)

Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in TESOL and Linguistics in the Department of English at Ball State University. I teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in applied linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) methods. I am an applied linguist, a language teacher, and scholar of social justice.
My research interests include identity, L2 writing, and social justice for minoritized learners. My peer-reviewed articles have been published in journals such as the Journal of Language, Identity & Education and L2 Journal, and my book chapters have been published by publishers, including Routledge. I am also deeply committed to equity and diversity work, as demonstrated by my attainment of a Racial Justice Grant.
I have a diverse educational background spanning four countries, including the UK, the US, Singapore, and my home country.
