2024 Annual General Meeting 

Our 2024 AGM took place on September 23rd at 7:00 pm, at New Life Community Fellowship located at 3900 Carey Rd. Emails about the AGM were sent to all JVS members.  Please contact us if you are a member and did not receive anything.

Executive Director Position Created

The Executive Director position was created in 2023 due to the expansion and growth of the Justice Van Society. Former JVS President Frank Woods became the Executive Director in July 2023.

Volunteering and Supplies Donations

Volunteering: We are looking for more sandwich makers. Please email us if you can help. 

Donations: We need blankets, sleeping bags and tents all year around, either gently used or new. They can be dropped off at the JVS drop-in centre in Anawim House, at 973 Caledonia Ave. Our drop-in centre is in the corner section of Anawim House.

Free Counseling for the Homeless

We provide free counselling to people we meet who want to move on in their life journey. We are excited about this because it extends our level of support beyond meeting the immediate needs of the street community.

If you would like your donation to go to counseling, please indicate this in your e-Transfer or cheque, under Ways to Give. 

JVS Drop-In Centre at Anawim House

Our drop-in centre is provided rent-free thanks to the leadership of Anawim House. We meet with many members of the street community struggling with a variety of issues — from trying to get required ID documents and housing, to seeking counselling to move on in their lives. The drop-in centre gives us a quiet and serene place to chat with clients in confidence. Anawim House is at 973 Caledonia Avenue.

We Love Our JVS Van!

Thanks to your generosity through the GoFundMe campaign and the financial contributions of many others, we purchased a larger, more efficient van to better serve Victoria's homeless! Our 2019 GMC Savana cargo van allows for more storage, as well as easier access to food, clothes, sleeping bags and all the necessities we directly deliver to the homeless. The photos below show our president Frank Woods in action.

We feel very blessed and inspired by how God's hand has been on this ministry since it began in October 2018. We so appreciate your ongoing support through financial contributions, food and clothing, and your prayers. We will keep you updated on the needs of those living on the street.
