Frank Woods

Executive Director

Frank Woods has worked in the public sector for over 30 years. 

He played for the Canadian National Soccer team plus a few years in the professional Canadian Soccer League. 

Frank has been a coach in the soccer community for about 35 years and is currently coaching at the Reynolds Soccer Academy, a local youth organization. He is the current community liaison for Pacific FC of the Canadian Premier League. 

Frank coached at a soccer academy in Malang, Indonesia for two four-month stints in 2013 and 2014. The academy was affiliated with Mustard Seed International. 

Phil Large

Chair

Phil's career spanned 30 years as a middle school teacher in the Saanich School District.

In 1996 Phil, his wife Dawn and their three girls lived for a year and a half at Chefoo school in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia, where Phil taught grade 5/6. 

Phil along with his family directed Family Camp for 10 years at Camp Imadene. 

For the past 12 years, Phil has been working at Large and Co. Developers, overseeing the construction of over 90 homes, managing the Datatech Building. He is also in charge of sales and property management for Large and Co.

Su-Hui Lyne

Treasurer

Su-Hui was born and raised in Taiwan. She was involved with the College Students Association at her college in Taiwan where she visited local orphanages and senior homes before moving to North America in 1992.

Su-Hui obtained her degree in finance from the University of Oregon in 1995. Afterwards, she moved to Victoria, where she got married and settled down. She worked at a financial institution before having children. 

Su-Hui is a mother of two children and has been a freelance interpreter for over 10 years in the medical field and private business. She goes out once a week for the Justice Van run.

Caryl Buchanan

Secretary

Caryl was raised in Calgary and is the mother of two young men who live in Alberta. 

She is a retired high school and middle school humanities teacher with a Bachelor of Education majoring in art and English. She served in two Alberta jurisdictions over a 25-year span. 

Caryl is a practising artist, working in acrylic and oil, and painting landscapes and portraits. She has exhibited and sold her work in public and private shows over her career. 

Caryl enjoys shopping for supplies for the van, working in the office and serving on the van runs. Ministering to and praying for the street community is a privilege and a reward.

 Andrew Clark 

Director at Large

Andrew Clark is a management consultant and project manager in the justice sector, having worked in Vietnam, Rwanda and Guatemala. 

Andrew started his career over 30 years ago in computer programming. He is also a Project Management Professional, and has taught project management at Royal Roads University.

Andrew is a member of several national committees and working groups in Canada and the US, focusing on using technology to improve access to justice.

Andrew is active in his local church and Camp Imadene. He enjoys meeting people on the van runs and hearing their stories.
