Colorado’s Voter Info Site:
Important Dates for the November 3 Election
September 2 - Ballot measures were officially assigned numbers.
September 4 - Ballot order and content were finalized; first day that election judge training can begin.
October 2 - General Election ballots mailed to voters and first day for Legislative Council to start distributing Blue Books to voters.
October 9 - First day drop boxes must begin to accept hand-delivered mail ballots from voters.
October 19 - Counting of returned ballots may begin.
November 3 - 2026 General Election Day (polls open 7 am–7 pm) You can still register on Election Day, you just need to vote at a voting center.
Note: If someone needs to register or update their address and STILL RECEIVE a mail-in ballot, they should change their registration at least 10 days prior to the election. This is not a hard deadline, but this gives the county time to send a ballot to the new address. Ten days would be October 20 if we're not counting weekend days. Of course, voters can always register or make changes at an in-person polling place until 7 pm on Nov. 3.

If you will be away during the ellection you may pick up ballot in person beginning September 21.
Arapahoe County 's website states "If you will be away from your residence during the election and at a location where you can not receive mail, we recommend visiting our office at 5334 S. Prince St., Littleton, CO 80120 beginning 45 days before Election Day to request a ballot."
In Denver, "voters may pick up ballots in-person starting Monday, Sept. 21, at the main office, 200 W. 14th Ave., Suite 100, Denver CO 80204. Hours are weekdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm."

You can return ballots for family or friends, but it’s against the law to collect or return more than 10 voted ballots in any election.

Throughout the process, all ballots are handled by bipartisan teams
Every voter signature is verified before their ballot is counted
All systems are tested ahead of each election and certified for use
All results are audited after each election
Counting equipment is never connected to the internet
All ballot processing areas are under video surveillance and video recordings are kept for 25 months after each election
