Since we returned to school after our Christmas break, we have been working hard in Junior Infants, and having lots of fun too! Take a look at some of what we have been up to.
The topic of 3D shapes in maths gave us many opportunities to explore, build and understand how shapes work in real life.
We are making great strides in learning our letter sounds and using this knowledge to blend and segment words.
We often move around different stations playing games and doing lots of activities to help consolidate what we are learning.
We are really enjoying taking turns in our Vet’s Surgery play corner. It has been so much fun caring for the animals, writing appointments and helping our furry patients feel better! The children love pretending to be vets, nurses and pet owners, using bandages, clipboards and toy animals during their play.
We have proudly displayed lots of photos of the Junior Infants’ own pets in our play corner.
We explored colour and creativity to create bright, love-filled pieces of art!
What a brilliant half-term it has been — and there’s even more fun and learning ahead!
