Sun and Water Safety

Use the images below to discuss the importance of the sun and the dangers of it. We protect ourselves from the sun by covering up with clothes, using sunscreen on the parts of our face and body that are not covered by clothes, we wear sun hats and we wear sunglasses to protect our eyes. We can also seek shade, stay out of the midday sun and stay hydrated.

Curriculum Objectives:

• recognise the importance of sharing and co-operating and being fair in all activities in the class and school learning and understanding how to work and play together in a group, taking turns

• practise care and consideration, courtesy and good manners when interacting with others giving and taking turns in listening and speaking
