Home Push and Pull lesson (above parents' video optional)
Resources needed:
3 Labels/Post-its - Push, Pull, Both; (Sorting trays and printables in video not necessary)
Common household objects - Clothes peg, cooking tongs, glove, toy car, lego, marker/pen with lid, child's scissors, tweezers, other objects as demonstrated in video or your own
Dominoes (if you have them) - child can set them up to create chain reaction fall-down
Lesson method -
1. Talk to your child about forces and motion i.e. objects won't move without force being applied. Talk about Push and Pull - plenty of examples in every day life - swings, bikes (pushing pedals) opening closing doors etc.
2. Ask your child to sort objects into push / pull / both trays or piles
3. Finish up with dominoe or other fun push/pull activity
