Julia Tang. “Professors for Police Accountability Recommendation Report” BIS 483: Community Organizing, Professor Charles R. Collins, Spring 2021.

This report outlines the recommendation of strategies and possible future processes on the development of Professors for Police Accountability (PPA), a recently founded informal research-based organization. The report aims to provide some possible future operations suggestions and things to consider in order to grow and further develop the organization. Some of the discussed aspects of recommendation included ways to reach potential members, organizational structure, and strategic planning.

This report is an important project that allowed me to strategize plans for an organization. In addition, it was an exceptional opportunity to practice my critical thinking and leadership skills. Through this project, I demonstrated my skills in reflecting on the power dynamic in our society and developed my writing and communication skills by practicing writing with a purpose, audience, and context to communicate effectively to my audiences through this recommendation report.
