I am Julian Valentini and I am currently enrolled in the B.A. program at East Stroudsburg University. My major is History with a concentration in Secondary Education.
I chose to become an educator because of my own experiences with amazing educators. Education is truly the great equalizer, which I have felt through the efforts of attentive and caring teachers over many years. I want to become part of a tradition of educating and aiding the community.
I have a deep connection to the subject matter I wish to teach as well. In my love for history, I have been a part of the non-profit organization, Sword Tag Society. Sword Tag Society is a mock-history group who donates time and effort to the community. I have been in this organization for 10 years, and have been a large part of various events and donations in the group. In my love for civics, I have donated my time to various local politicians and campaigns, as well as interned with Pocono Township. In these experiences, I have seen some of the complex inner workings of government and came out still enjoying it. In my love for education, I have been a tutor at East Stroudsburg University for History. History, civics, sociology, and education itself are all subjects that I eagerly incorporate into my every day life.
