CLIENT: WILDMOOR
Wildmoor is a premium whisky brand deeply inspired by the rugged beauty of Scotland’s landscapes. Contributing to LOVE.’s case study for this brand was an exciting challenge, as it demanded a seamless blend of artistry and technical precision to capture its wilderness essence.
During this project, I worked on various elements, from crafting a 3D logo to assisting with retail visualizations and producing intricate close-ups and animations. Incorporating PBR textures with procedural nodes helped achieve the realism demanded by the brand. I also utilized colour noise techniques to add subtle micro imperfections to the materials, enhancing their authenticity.
A product review video was crafted to highlight the project’s storytelling. It begins with a close-up of the pine cone icon, gradually unveiling the landscape animation before revealing key elements of the bottle—its shape, textures, and intricate details. The entire sequence unfolds in a mysterious and sensual mood, reflecting the brand’s distinctive character.
To create the atmospheric mountain scene, volumetric meshes were used to simulate clouds and fog, enhancing the depth and realism of the environment. The mountains were sculpted with displacement maps, adding a tactile sense of scale. In the case study, they appear in black, intensifying the air of mystery as the brand is progressively revealed.
For the case study visuals, we placed the retail wall bay and the Gold Space customer experience in the same black mountain environment, surrounded by misty fog. This ethereal ambiance was inspired by Wildmoor’s inauguration ceremony, where guests, including whisky connoisseurs and influencers, were invited to a unique experience in Scotland’s highlands—dining in a glass-encased venue with breath-taking views of the natural surroundings.
It was deeply rewarding to see my renders featured in the press and utilized by the client on their social media platforms, a testament to the collaboration and creativity involved in the project.
