SMA Negeri 1 Alalak, established on July 1, 2002, is a public senior high school located at JL. Brigjen H. Hasan Basri KM.11, Handil Bakti, Kecamatan Alalak, Kabupaten Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan. The school operates under the jurisdiction of the local government and is led by Principal Rasyidi, with Hendra Wijaya serving as the school's operator.

This balance reveals both strengths and areas for growth in their educational practices.
