For the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years I am the club sponsor for Bloom Trail High School's Anime Club. Please feel free to take a look at some of the things that we have done in the photo carousel, as well as take a peek into the club's future.
In this picture collage you can see a few of our club members watching anime, a few forms created for the club, and a few pictures from one of the art events the club had. Each meeting offers a learning opportunity where we take a brief look at the history of anime, learn some interesting facts, and then afterwards we finish the meeting by watching some anime. Occasionally we also enjoy some Japanese snacks (the snack pictured is popular in the anime community, and it has appeared in anime too!) and we have had a few meetings where we have held arts & crafts activities. Before each meeting I create and send out a form to the club members that allows them to vote on what anime we watch during our meetings and to provide club and meeting updates.
During the spring Bloom Trail hosts an 8th grade open house to allow 8th graders who will be joining Bloom Trail as Freshmen in the upcoming school year to visit the school and learn about the various extracurricular activities that they can participate in. During this open house as The Bloom Trail Anime Club Sponsor I had a table set up so that interested students and their families can learn about the anime club and ask questions. Please feel free to take a look below at the table I set up and the flyers I handed out so that interested students could learn more about a club that they could potentially join in the Fall.
Here are the tables that I set up for the 8th grade open house during each school year (23-24 and 24-25). On the table I had a few graphic novels that have been made into popular anime and the club flyer hand out.
These flyers were handed out to students and their families. They list some of the club's activities for the current school year and the club's future plans for next year.
