Corrugated Cardboard Chair Project

At the end of my first year of Introduction to Engineering and Industrial Design class, I designed and built a corrugated cardboard chair with the help of 2 other classmates. My group started out with one prototype (the prototype where there is a circular base and a cone shaped seat) and we eventually settled on a completely different prototype (the prototype with the square base) because we decided that it would be much more sturdy. Below is a gallery of our pictures taken while designing and building the chair. My group was very close to finishing our Corrugated Cardboard Chair project, but sadly school was canceled due to the Coronavirus before we could finish. UPDATE: during my sophomore year we resumed our corrugated board projects and me and my partner almost completely finished and spray painted our chair. School was canceled again before we could finish. I have included pictures of the chair below.
