I had the chance to go to Onondaga Nation during the Fall semester of 2018. This experience was different than my other two experiences. During the visits to Onondaga, I was taken on a tour of their beautiful school. I learned that their school is in the shape of an eagle, and it represents their culture. On my tour I was shown all the pictures hung on the wall, and I got to learn amazing things about the Native American culture. At the end of my time at Onondaga, they invited my classmates and I to their craft sale. The craft sale was so inspiring and I got to see handmade bird houses, hand made bars of soap, and hand knitted clothing material among other crafts. Everything made at the craft sale was original and contained natural ingredients. I purchased the holiday ornament shown here. The ornament is hand painted with the Iroquois Nation Flag.
I went to Randall Elementary School in Spring Term, 2019. I attended Randall for my Leadership, and Programming class. To the left is an assignment my group and I completed. Before going to Randall, my class had to come up with activities to facilitate and write a paper on it. During my visit at the after school program, I would faciliate games to the children, provide a safe, bully-free environment, and help the children with their homework. Visiting Randall during the spring semester taught me leadership skills, and how to implement a program.
