Zemi Students Win Best-paper Awards!! 🎖
In January 2021, a Joint Student Symposium (JSS) was held on-line with more than 100 students and researchers joining from 7 universities across Japan and around the world.
Since its inauguration in 2019, students from Jones Zemi had been actively participating in the symposium. To date, 3 of our students have received Best Paper awards:
AY 2019 Kelvianto Shenyoputro ("Community Participation in Solid Waste Management in Rural Japan, Case Study of Kamikatsu Town, Japan")
AY 2020 Qiu Zuolin ("Sea Turtle Conservation Tourism and Environmental Education: A Case Study of Hazako Nature Center"); Bui Ngoc Han ("Visitors’ Perceptions of Tour Guides’ Performance: A Case Study in Tram Chim National Park, Vietnam"). 🌸 Hana reflected on her experiences after the event: "Before I joined the Joint Student Symposium (JSS), I had quite a difficult time finding a topic that suits me as well as narrowing down the scope of my research or finding the right direction for me. With the enormous help from my seminar friends and my Professor, I have acquired very precious research skills and I feel my research direction is much clearer now."
