All of my children live far away from their hometown of Remsen, Iowa. I miss them, but I know they are living out their dreams.
My family is a big part of my life. I have three children - Jenny, almost 31, Erik, 28 and Anna, 22. Jenny is married to Lars and they have lived out of the United States for about 8 years. Emma, their daughter, is 2 years old. They live in Munich, Germany where both Jenny and Lars are teachers. Jenny is also working on her doctorate in German linguistics. Erik and his wife Lindsey just moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Erik is going back to school to get his Master's degree in business. He returned home from Kuwait in March and is now in the army reserves. He took an army intelligence position at Offutt, so I'll get to see him once a month and two weeks in the summer. Anna is a graduate student at the University of Iowa. She is studying Law/Law Librarian. She is dating Nick who is an engineer in Muscatine, Iowa. I moved back to the Omaha area to help my mother two years ago. We live together in Fremont. My mom is a counselor and has a practice in Omaha.
