Jiten Prajapati is a Mumbai-based architect, academic, and sustainability expert. Since 1994, he has focused his practice on design innovation and research-driven solutions that prioritize client needs.
His work spans landmark projects and technical research:
Sustainable Design: He designed a Zero Energy School Campus in one of India’s hottest regions. He also implemented solar passive techniques and cooling towers for the Police Headquarters in Gulbarga—the first public building in India to earn a LEED Gold rating.
Authorship & Tools: Jiten co-authored the Handbook on Energy Conscious Buildings at IIT-Bombay. To help other designers, he developed CAT - Ver. 2.0, a software tool that provides climate analysis and design recommendations for cities across India.
Leadership: He serves as a juror and advisor for major institutions, including the Solar Decathlon India and the master plan review committee for IIT-Dharwad.
Through his consultancy, Jiten continues to advance the field of energy-conscious architecture, turning complex climate data into functional, sustainable spaces.
