Start by asking students if they have ever experienced a summer vacation. Share a brief personal story about a memorable summer experience. Introducing the book "Sari-Sari Summers" and its setting in the Philippines. Ask students what they know about the Philippines or if they have heard about sari-sari stores.

Instructional Development
