Pre-Commercial Prototypes are prototypes I designed for clients who just wanted a proof of concept model. I worked with them to create this proof of concept without thinking of mass producing the product.
A med student came to me with a project idea that she and a group of others had been working on. The idea was to design a cheap and portable heart transplant box that could support a human heart in between harvesting and implanting. This idea was just a prototype design for their proof of concept however it did function.
This design was an impeller for an individual who was looking to create a miniature, innovative rocket design. I model this impeller as well as convert the motor he wanted to use from 2D dimensional drawings to a 3D format. The impeller uses complicated curvature to efficiently compress air into a chamber.
The client was starting a bug farm. He was having trouble giving the roaches water without drowning them. He hired me to design this tube that he could implement across his farm to give water to the bugs while preventing any drowning.

This design was for an individual who wanted a cup that had two halves that could screw together. The tricky part with this design was 3D printing the threads in a way that is smooth and air-tight. Because I have a lot of experience with 3D printing threads, this design only took 2 tries to get the threads perfect.
This is a flask I designed to be manufactured out of metal with a rubber casing.
This is a design of a standard contour gauge that I designed, manufactured (using 3D printing) and assembled for a client who wanted to start his own contour gauge company.
This is a concept design for a dog litter box. It was designed to be portable, easy to clean and fun to look at. It was intended to look like a small fenced in garden where the dog could do his/her buisness.
This is a white board design I worked on for an individual who wanted a white board that had a light mounted on it. I designed, manufactured and assembled the first prototype.

This design was for an individual who wanted a faster way to fill plastic tubes up with honey. The individual was creating these honey-stick treats and their idea was to pour honey into this central compartment and spin it so the honey would be funneled into each of the plastic tubes.
