I worked with the client to come up with a fully functional automatic screw driver design that has a head that can swivel 90° in one direction. The design is about 11 inches long about 2.5 inches in diameter. It has four rechargeable lipo batteries that are wired in series powering. The trigger is a variable speed (hence variable voltage) trigger with a toggle for forward/backward direction). The motor is a 12V DC metal gearmotor that has a top speed of 100 RPM. The 90° rotation is caused by 3 bevel gears transmitting the torque to the driver bit. There is a spring loaded mechanism in the joint to allow the swivel to lock into 6 different positions.

This design functioned as a cheese platter that is meant to be covered and let rest. It is aerated in a way that does not age the cheese. The base is made out of plyboo (a bamboo based plywood), the cover and latches are made out of plastic and the bowls are hand-carved out of wood.
This product was designed for an individual that wanted a soap dispenser attachment that would dispense the soap in the shape of a mickey mouse head. I designed a 3D printable soap dispenser head that clipped onto the top of the soap dispenser.
