About Me

I grew up right outside of Hartford, CT- I am a proud graduate of Hartford Public Schools!

I attended Classical Magnet, a paidea-focused 6-12 school, through Hartford’s school choice program.

I moved to Troy, NY where I earned my BS in Psychological Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

At RPI, I pledged Alpha Phi Omega, the nation’s largest gender-inclusive community service fraternity. I completed over 250 hours of service (mostly with youth in the greater Albany area) during my active membership. I have a chapter Distinguished Service Key and am an APO life member!

In August 2023, I moved to Chapel Hill to start the MEITE program. I finished my MA in July 2025, and started my PhD in Education at Berkeley in August 2025.

When I’m not in class or teaching, you can find me doing gymnastics, going to concerts, or traveling.

I love live music! My favorite bands are the Dave Matthews Band (20 shows and counting), the Killers, Crosby Stills & Nash, Matchbox Twenty, Dexter and The Moonrocks, Cigarettes @ Sunset, and the Goo Goo Dolls.
