Jerble – Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 29, 2026 · Version 2.5
Jerble ("Jerble," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Jerble mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Jerble is operated by an individual sole proprietor based in Jamaica. You can reach us at any time at teamjerble@gmail.com.
By using Jerble, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
When you create an account or use the Service, we collect:
Name
Email address
Account credentials (your password is stored only as a secure hash; we never see it)
If you sign in with Google or Apple: the name and email address they share with us, and the account identifier they assign. Apple lets you hide your email, in which case we receive an Apple relay address instead. Google also shares a link to your Google profile picture, which is stored with your sign-in details but not used or shown in Jerble
Date of birth, used only to confirm you are 18 or older: when you sign up with email, or before you first use Jerble if you sign in with Google or Apple. We do not store it: we check it once and keep only a record that you confirmed your age and when
Team and organization details
Event, scheduling, availability, and role assignment data
Messages, announcements, and other communications you send within the Service
Communications you send to us for support
If you choose to use these features, we store:
Profile, team, and organization avatar images
Photos and files you attach to team chats
Attachments are stored in our cloud storage and are visible to the members of the team you sent them to. We ask for camera and photo library permission only when you use these features, and you can decline.
To deliver push notifications, we collect and store:
Your notification token, issued by Apple or Google
Your device platform (iOS or Android) and app version
A device identifier we generate from your device model and device name
Please note that on many phones the device name contains your own name (for example, "Sam's iPhone"), so this identifier may include personal information. It is stored so that we can send notifications to the right device and stop sending them when you sign out.
To find and fix crashes and performance problems, we collect:
Crash reports and error logs, including the technical state of the app at the time
Performance traces (how long operations such as syncing take)
We do not record your screen. Jerble does not capture screenshots or session recordings, so your messages and your team's activity are never reconstructed or replayed by us or our diagnostics provider.
Diagnostic data is linked to your account ID so we can trace an error back to a report. We do not send your email address or IP address to our diagnostics provider.
Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google process your payment; Jerble never receives or stores your card details. We receive only a store transaction identifier, the product purchased, and your subscription status and renewal dates.
We use your information to:
Provide and operate the Service
Manage accounts, teams, and organizations
Deliver notifications and reminders you have enabled
Verify and manage subscriptions and entitlements
Send important service-related messages
Enforce our Terms of Service and Subscription & Billing Terms
Diagnose crashes, and improve features, performance, and reliability
Provide customer support
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Other members of a team or organization you belong to can see your name, avatar, availability, assignments, attendance, and any messages or attachments you post to that team. This is how the Service works.
Someone who joins a team later can see up to the 100 most recent messages sent before they joined, with their attachments, and everything sent after. A reply they can see still shows the text it quotes, even if the quoted message is older.
Team and organization admins can see reports about content in their team, including who made each report and the note they added, so they can review it. Admins never see reports about their own content, and the person whose content is reported is not told who reported it.
We use the following providers to operate Jerble. Each processes data only to provide its service to us:
Supabase — Database, authentication, file storage, realtime sync · United States
Cloudflare — Storage of the photos and files you upload · Eastern North America
Sentry — Crash reporting and performance monitoring · United States
Expo (EAS) — Push notification delivery, app build and update services · United States
Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — Push notification delivery on Android · United States
Apple — Payment processing and subscription management · United States
Google Play — Payment processing and subscription management · United States
When you or a teammate posts a link in chat, the app may request a preview from that website's own preview service (for example YouTube, Spotify, or Reddit). That request tells the third-party site that the link was viewed. No account information is sent. If you do not want this, do not post or open links.
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Jerble or its users.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not share personal data for advertising purposes.
Jerble uses industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage of authentication tokens on your device, and row-level access controls that restrict data to the teams you belong to.
Your device also keeps a local cached copy of your data so the app works offline. That cache is removed when you sign out.
No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Some data is deleted automatically on a schedule:
Notifications — 30 days if read or dismissed; otherwise 90 days
Message read receipts — 90 days
Activity and audit log — 30 days
Store purchase records — 30 days
Past unavailability entries — 120 days after they end
Deleted files and attachments — Removed at least 24 hours after deletion
Original copies of photos and files moved to our current storage — Deleted 30 days after the move
Files and photos taken down after a report — Removed within about 15 minutes
Content reports — Until the team or organization is deleted. If the reporter deletes their account, the report no longer identifies them
Blocks — Until you unblock the person, or either account is deleted
Lapsed subscription entitlements — Released after a 7-day grace period
Chat messages are kept until the message, the team, or your account is deleted. They are not deleted on a timer.
We may keep information longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict certain processing
Receive a copy of your data
You can view and correct most of your information directly in the app. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account; see our Account Deletion policy for exactly what this removes. For any other request, contact teamjerble@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings, and you can decline camera and photo access without losing access to the rest of the Service.
The Jerble mobile app does not use cookies. It stores data locally on your device — a cached copy of your teams and messages, your preferences, and your authentication token in the device's secure storage — so the app works offline and keeps you signed in. This data stays on your device and is cleared when you sign out or uninstall the app.
Our website may use cookies for basic session and traffic analysis. You can control these through your browser settings.
Jerble is not intended for users under the age of 18. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up with email, and do not create an account for anyone under 18.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, that sign-in creates your account before we can ask your age, so we ask for your date of birth before you can use Jerble. Until you confirm you are 18 or older, the account cannot join, create, or be added to any team or organization. If you are under 18, we delete the account and everything in it, including the name and email address Google or Apple shared with us.
We do not store the date of birth itself, only a record that the age check was passed. We do not knowingly keep personal data about anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact teamjerble@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Jerble is operated from Jamaica, and the providers listed in Section 3 store and process data on infrastructure located in the United States (for Cloudflare, in eastern North America). This means your data will be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. By using Jerble, you consent to such transfers in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted, and the Effective Date above will be updated. Where changes are significant, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, or wish to exercise any of the rights in Section 6, contact us at: teamjerble@gmail.com
