Jerble – Account Deletion
Effective Date: September 29, 2026 · Version 2.4
This page explains how to delete your Jerble account, exactly what is removed, and what is kept.
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time:
Open Jerble and go to the Profile tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Read the warning about teams and organizations where you are the only admin.
Type your account email address to confirm. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, type DELETE instead.
Slide to confirm. Your account is deleted immediately. If you use Sign in with Apple on iPhone, Apple asks you to confirm first.
You need to be online to delete your account.
If you can no longer sign in, email teamjerble@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will process the request as soon as we reasonably can.
There is no grace period, no recovery window, and no way to undo this. Jerble cannot restore your account or any of its data once you confirm. If you want a copy of anything, save it first.
If you are the only admin of a team or organization, deleting your account permanently deletes that entire team or organization — including all of its events, messages, attachments, members, and history, for every member of it.
If you do not want this to happen, promote another member to admin before you delete your account.
If you have an active Jerble subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your Jerble account does not cancel it and does not refund it. Cancel it separately first:
iOS: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions
Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions
Your profile, name, email address, and account credentials
Your login sessions and saved notification tokens (you stop receiving all notifications)
The record of which app version you use and when you last opened the app
Jerble's access to your Apple ID, if you signed in with Apple (on iPhone, Apple asks you to confirm first)
Your memberships in every team and organization
Your availability, attendance records, and event assignments
Your profile picture
Any team or organization where you were the sole admin, and everything inside it
Your messages and attachments in the teams that are deleted with you (see below)
Before your assignments are removed, Jerble automatically tries to reassign any upcoming events you were covering, so your teams are not left short.
We want to be straightforward about this rather than promise more than the software does.
Messages in teams that continue to exist. If you were a member of a team that survives your deletion (because it has other admins), the messages and attachments you posted in that team remain visible to that team. Chat is a shared record between members, and removing one participant's messages would break the conversation for everyone else. If you need your messages in a specific team removed, delete them in the app before deleting your account, or ask that team's admin.
Content you created in surviving teams. Events, teams, and organizations you created that continue to exist are kept, but are anonymised — the "created by" record is cleared so they are no longer attributed to you.
A departure notice. When you delete your account, the remaining admins of your surviving teams receive a notification that you have left. That notification contains your display name and is deleted automatically after 30 days if it has been read or dismissed, and after 90 days otherwise.
Files. Deleted files and attachments are removed from storage on a scheduled sweep, at least 24 hours after deletion.
Diagnostic records. Crash reports previously collected by our diagnostics provider are linked to your account ID, not your name or email, and expire on that provider's own retention schedule. We do not hold screen recordings. See our Privacy Policy.
Backups and legal records. Data may persist in encrypted infrastructure backups for a short period before those backups roll over, and we may retain records where we are legally required to.
