Exhibit 10

Design: I really wanted to challenge myself with this design and try something I hadn't been brave enough to try before. I decided on a magazine cover because I felt it would be challenging but still simple.

Contrast: I used font colors that would contrast the background depending on where I placed them on the image. I also contrasted the title text to add some variety.

Repetition: I repeated the colors from the background image in the colors of the text to make the magazine cover feel unified. I also repeated the fonts throughout.

Alignment: I aligned every element of this design with something else so nothing would feel lost or out of place.

Proximity: I placed space between the different text boxes to separate them and show that each was a different topic in the magazine.

Typography: I downloaded the font "Magazine" from dafont.com for the magazine name, and I used "Candara" that was already on my laptop for everything else. I wanted to keep all the text boxes unified but I also wanted the cover to have some variety. I decided to vary the weight of the font and change up the sizes a bit to create the variety I was looking for without it looking messy.

Color: I stuck with colors that were in my background photo to create unity.
