Exhibit 6

Design: With the pandemic and having to wear masks that cover up smiles and everything, I thought a design that showed a really good smile would boost some spirits. It definitely cheered me up!

Contrast: I used contrast in my use of color vs black and white,

Repetition: Because the design is more simple there isn't a lot of repetition but I did use white for the font which carries over the white in the photo.

Alignment: I aligned the text centered with the graphic to create a balanced look.

Proximity: I warped the font to make space for the old man's eyes to peek under and left some white space on each side to create a feeling of simplicity.

Typography: I used the font Boots and Spurs. I think it really helped give an old timey effect.

Color: I chose the green color for the background because it reminded me of a color that might be on the walls of an old grandpa home. It just feels like a more vintage color to me.
