Math literacy is more than just adding and subtracting — it’s the ability to think critically, solve problems, and understand how numbers connect to real life. As a first-grade teacher, my goal is to build confident mathematicians who see math not as something to fear, but as a powerful tool they can use every day.
I want my students to leave my classroom in May knowing that I gave my very best — all 175 days (and beyond, because teachers never really stop!) — to help them grow. My students are worth every ounce of effort, energy, and love I pour into teaching, because math is a skill that empowers them to make sense of their world and chase their dreams.
My resources are designed for students in kindergarten through second grade. Please take into consideration the age, skill being taught, and level of understanding of your students when selecting materials. All of my resources are aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) to support quality, standards-based learning in your classroom.
