Overview
Recognizing the growing demand for responsibly sourced seafood and the complex issues surrounding human and labor rights in their supply chain, a prominent seafood retailer sought to take proactive measures. Understanding the need to educate their team on these critical topics, they envisioned an immersive e-learning course that not only conveyed information but inspired a commitment to ethical practices within the industry.
The client provided me with a detailed storyboard outlining the vision for the course. The storyboard painted a vivid picture of the client's goals: to establish a robust framework for ethical leadership within their organization and the broader seafood industry. The client envisioned a course that not only educated their team on the complexities of human and labor rights but also empowered them to actively contribute to positive change.
Process
My role as the instructional designer was to translate this vision into a dynamic and engaging e-learning experience. The storyboard presented a multifaceted narrative, from understanding the nuances of social responsibility to crafting actionable plans for change. Balancing depth of content with the need for accessibility and user engagement became a central theme in the instructional design process. The development journey in Articulate Rise 360 involved creating interactive modules across multiple lessons and concluding with a knowledge check. The goal was not just to inform but to inspire behavioral change. Visual elements were carefully curated to enhance the storytelling aspect of the course, making the learning experience both informative and memorable.
