This is an episode of Bill Nye The Science Guy explaining simple machines and their uses! This video is equipped with an online transcript that can be either printed for students or copied and pasted into a GoogleDoc and read to the student with a google chrome extension (or both)!
This is a great resources for all things simple machines! It has tabs for facts, links, games, resources, and videos! It also includes a glossary. I would suggest using a Google chrome tool to have this site read aloud because it does not seem to have an option for text to audio. The text cannot be manipulated either, unfortunately. However, this can also be copied and pasted into a google doc!
