Digital citizenship is the rights and responsibilities we accept when using technology as well as being aware of our online presence and the digital footprint we leave. Here is a screen capture from ISTE (standard #2 for students) that defines digital citizenship and expectations of students in the digital world:

1. NEVER give out personal information on the internet such as your full name, age/birthday, school, or address!
2. ALWAYS ask an adult before downloading something on the internet (especially from emails)
3. NEVER talk to strangers online!
4. ALWAYS use appropriate and respectful language online!
5. If your suspicious about something online, ask an adult! We are here to help, and we would never want anyone to get hurt!
