- M. Scott Peck
Originally coined by philosopher-theologian Josiah Royce, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. popularized this term "the beloved community." The idea of building community with others, while a romantic ideal, is in practice a very intentional and vulnerable process. In short, it involves really difficult work of examining oneself and adjusting the attitudes, beliefs, and values we hold. I believe in Dr. M. Scott Peck's Community Building model and have seen it transform organizations first hand. It is how I interact in and with organizations.
