This brochure was done for our collaborated company A Series of Fortunate Events. Since this was a pair assignment, myself and Gayathiri had to meet up then, have to discuss it. So we both had our meet up session through Google Meet. The meet up session was very useful compared to just texting through WhatsApp, where we can communicate better looking at each other's faces. First, we had planned out the draft for our brochure. As our company was based on an event planning and management company, we wanted the poster to be aesthetic and simple. We found some pictures that are related to it on Pinterest and Instagram. The writing process was planned very well since we had done a draft in Microsoft Word before editing it in the brochure. One of our careless mistakes was using all block letters in most parts in our brochure. After looking at Madam's comments in Eleap, we realized we should have minimized the usage of block letters. These mistakes will all be taken note for future working process on the brochure.
As designing a newsletter was one of the pair assignments, my partner Gayathiri, who I was very flexible working with, since we both had almost the same wave length. We were both able to cope with each other. To design this newsletter, we both met up in Google Meet and created a draft idea on the sizes, pages and divided our parts equally to do the write up first the content of the newsletter. After completing the write up separately in Microsoft Word. We created a link in Canva.com for our newsletter so that we can both edit it together as one. We both had found the name for the newsletter, The Information X. Change something nice and different, so we wanted it as our newsletter's name. During the editing process, we had arguments on determining the column and margin of the newsletter, but somehow we had found the best margin, nameplate, body type for the newsletter which was suitable and easy for us to do the editing. It almost took 2 days to complete the whole newsletter. Some of the graphical elements that were used in the something really new for us, as we just our Canva.com premium version when doing the newsletter. So, we tried and explored a lot of new elements of graphics in our newsletter. Finally, we maintained which was very suitable for our newsletter. I was very grateful to have Gayathiri as my partner. She was able to withstand the changes whenever I felt that changes needed to be made. In the future, during my work life, if I ever needed to do a newsletter, the skills I learnt and gained will be very helpful, where I do need to be worried about attempting something new.
