Jeeru Dinesh Reddy

Research Scholar at NITK , Department of EEE, under the Guidance of Prof. K.P.Vittal  , from JUL' 2016 - till date .I am an Assistant Professor at BMS College of Engineering , Bangalore. I was Deputed for Higher Studies from BMS College of Engineering, through Quality Improvement Program scheme 2015. at NITK Surathkal .

Academic and Professional Background

I had done my Masters in Engineering from Anna University , PSG College of Technology , Coimbatore. In the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering , specialised in VLSI Design (2003-2005).

I had done my Bachelors of Engineering from Andhra University , GITAM College of Engineering , Visakhapatnam. In the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering ((1999-2003)

I was into industry from 2005:

Area of Research

My Main Area of Research is into FPGA Based PUF designs for Securing Smart Meters , in an IoT environment. Device identification conventionally follows the cryptographic hardware such as the secure hash algorithm (SHA) or a public/private key encryption algorithm. This was a conventional way followed in securing the device’s identity. However with the State of Art machine learning attacks, cloning the hardware and its response has been very easy where breaching the security has become a child’s play. Digital IC finger prints are emerging in this area to handle this situation.  Fingerprint identification of humans dates at least back to the nineteenth century and led to the field of biometrics. A formalization of this concept was introduced in the very beginning of the twenty first century, first as physical one-way functions , physical random functions and finally as physically unclonable functions or PUFs.
