Dear Neighbors,
We are pleased to share the highlights of our recent meeting with the new National Police Colonel in Sosúa, Luis Ferreras. The Colonel has expressed a strong commitment to working hand-in-hand with our community to ensure a safer environment for everyone.
Starting May 18, significant changes will be implemented to bolster local security. We are expecting a reinforcement of the fleet with new patrol vehicles.
Specifically for our sector, Colonel Ferreras has committed to:
Dedicated Patrols: A motorized unit will be assigned specifically to La Mulata.
24/7 Vigilance: Patrols will operate during the day and throughout the early morning hours.
Prevention: These efforts are focused on monitoring the area and preventing incidents involving individuals not residing in our community.
Your Neighborhood Association (*Junta de Vecinos*) continues to advocate for the maintenance of our sector. We are currently drafting a new formal notice to City Hall. While official resources are currently limited, we are staying persistent in following up on:
The Drainage Program: Ensuring proper water runoff.
Entrance Maintenance: Repairing and clearing the filter system (*filtrante*) at the entrance.
Street Cleaning: Maintaining the cleanliness of our main road.
We encourage all residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity. You may reach out to the Colonel directly for urgent matters related to local security:
