We especially thank all the residents who contribute financially. While your support has made a real difference, we haven't yet reached all our goals. But we remain united and committed to achieving what we can.
Things may move slowly on our island, but we persevere! We've already secured new lighting, improving visibility for pedestrians, motorcycles, and even preventing surprise encounters with cows! We also got a traffic light, which may have caused some initial confusion, but has demonstrably reduced accidents. However, a reminder to be cautious as cars from Cabarete can be known to disregard red lights.
We've been actively working with Edenorte to address the recent power outages.
Keeping La Mulata clean is a priority, thanks to both resident and city efforts. Road maintenance is done voluntarily, but unfortunately, these tropical rains take their toll. While we lack the budget for asphalt paving, we continue to advocate for a better road surface. Increased resident registration is crucial to demonstrate our strength in numbers, not just a collection of foreigners. This will help us secure funding for a more permanent road solution.
Together we can continue to improve La Mulata!
