Personnel

Lin, Jian-Da, 林建達, Ph.D. (Principle Investigator)

Dr. Jian-Da Lin received his Ph.D. in 2016 from Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, U.S.A., where he discovered a distinct role of type III interferon (IFN), (i.e. IFN-λs), compared to type I IFNs in intestinal immunity to rotavirus infection. He did his postdoctoral research at NYU School of Medicine and performed multi-disciplinary research, mainly on macrophages, bioinformatics, mechanisms of atherosclerosis, and the study of immune variations in rewilding mice. He continues to establish cutting-edge techniques such as high-parameter FACS analysis and CITE-seq as a Staff Scientist at NIAID, National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2020. Then he joined the Department of Biochemical Science and Technology as Assistant Professor at NTU College of Life Science in 2021.

I-Jung received her M.S. from National Taiwan Ocean University. She was an RA in the Immunology Research Center (免疫醫學研究中心) at National Health Research Institutes(國家衛生研究院) to study the interactions between gut microbiota and host genetic effects. She will be working on how microbiota impacts immune responses and atherosclerosis.

Chou, Tzu-Yin, 周姿吟, M.S.

Tzu-Yin received her M.S. from BST at National Taiwan University and majored in studying the Single-Cell Multi-Omics Analysis. She will be working on the project to interrogate the interactions between host genetic factors and immune cells by Single-Cell Technologies.

 PhD Student:

Lo, I-Hsuan, 羅逸軒, M.S.

I-Hsuan received her M.S. from National Taiwan University (NTU) and focused on using metagenomic strategy to reveal microbiome succession in Taiwanese pickle. Before join our lab, I-Hsuan was an RA at NTU Hospital studying the interactions between microbiome and human metabolic syndrome by multi-omics approaches. She will be working on how gut microbiota-derived metabolite or other components that impact atherosclerosis progression and immunity.
