Forewords


Evaporites may play an important role in both extensional rift systems and compressional thrust systems in fold and thrust belts all over the World.

In this page I list a number of papers dealing with both thrust detachments (décollements) (Pyrenees, Carpathians, Betics, Makran, Papua New Guinea Zagros in Iran and Kurdistan in Iraq) and salt tectonics and shale tectonics (Atlas, Pyrenees, Iberian Ranges, Dezful embayment in Zagros, Carpathians and Makran).
