Crystals

Let me start by saying Crystals might be one of my most favorite pieces that I've ever written.

Massive thank you to Horns of the Heartland for commissioning and premiering this piece! This was written for the University of Nebraska-Omaha's Brass Day which featured Horns of the Heartland. This piece is semi-programmatic and I was thinking about how light reflects and refracts through crystals as I wrote this. It is of a collegiate or professional level difficulty due to just a few difficult points, but the overall effect is incredible to add to any horn choir performance! 

It has been performed 3 times. Once by Horns of the Heartland, once at the Mid-North Horn Workshop by a faculty ensemble, and by the Iowa State Horn studio.
