Write a fun message to your teacher(s) to end the school year.
You can write a "thank you," draw a picture of your teacher, wish them a happy summer, or just draw some balloons to celebrate the end of your school year!

LADYBUG
5/18/2020-5/22/2020
For this week's activity we will focus on an insect called the Ladybug.
Watch the Youtube video "Insect Song" to learn some fun facts about insects.
Watch the Youtube video "Learn Ladybug Facts for Kids - Animals for Children on Tea Time with Tayla" to learn about Ladybugs.
Follow the steps below to create your Ladybug!
STEP 1. Let's start by drawing an OVAL for our ladybug body.
STEP 2. On top of the oval lets draw a SEMI-CIRCLE for the ladybug head.
STEP 3. Add a line down the oval to make wings. Also add 3 legs on each side of our ladybug to give it 6 legs total. Add 2 antennas to the head.
STEP 4. Add some circles to the ladybug to give it spots!
STEP 6. Color the ladybug and make the background green so it can look like a leaf.
SHAPE + LINE BAT

For this week's activity we will be creating a bat which is a nocturnal animal. A nocturnal animal comes out at night and not in the daytime.
Click on the Youtube video for "Peep and the Big Wide World Robin in the Bat Cave" to watch a video about our bird friends who meet a bat.
1. Start by drawing an oval for the bat body and a circle for the bat head.
2. Draw the top of the bat wings. Try to draw the top of a triangle but not the bottom for each wing.
3. Add 2 lines down the middle of each wing to give both wings sections.
4. Draw 3 lines at the bottom of the oval. These will be the bat's feet and tail.
5. Lets add some lines to give our bat some toes.
6. Lets draw lines to connect the wings.
7. Give your bat a face by adding shapes for the eyes, nose, and ears.
8. Color your bat to finish!
3D STANDING FOREST BROWN BEAR

For this week's activity we will be creating a standing forest brown bear.
Try your best to draw the shape of a bear
Add some color to your bear
Cut out the shape of your bear
Fold where I have drawn the white dots and try to make your bear stand up on all fours
If your bear is standing than you finished! Great job!
SIMPLE SHAPE ANIMALS

This week we are drawing simple shape animals using squares, circles, and triangles.
Click the Youtube link "StoryBots | Animal Songs..." to watch the video on animals.
Think about what animal you want to try to create
We will be using squares to start out our animals and then circles and triangles to add details.
1. Start by drawing a square on your paper
2. Add circles for eyes and a triangle for a nose/beak.
3. Add extra lines, shapes, semi-circles to build your animal face.
4. Add more shapes to create your animal.
5. Add some colors and details to finish your animal!!!
*You can draw more than 1 animal if you want!
SHAPE BIRDS

This week we are drawing simple shape birds.
Watch the Youtube video "Peep and the Big Wide World: Quack and the Amazing Sandy Magic" to see 3 funny birds learn about shapes!
INSTRUCTIONS: After viewing the video you will need a sheet of paper, a pencil/pen, and coloring tools for your drawing activity. Follow the steps below to begin.
1. Start by drawing grass on the bottom of your paper.
2. Draw 3 circles on your paper above your grass.
3. Add 2 long lines to make legs for your circles.
4. Add toes/claws to your line legs.
5. Draw triangles on your circles to make bird beaks.
6. Add eyes to your birds so they can see.
7. Use shapes to add wings to your birds so they can fly.
8. Color your birds!
SPRING RAINBOW
(4/13/2020-4/17/2020)
This week we are drawing Spring Rainbows using semi-circles and shapes to make flowers and clouds.
Watch "The Rainbow Song" video on Youtube.
Start by drawing a line across your paper.
2. Next draw a semi-circle over the line you drew.
3. Draw more semi-circles above the first one.
4. When you are finished drawing the semi-circles add some flowers and clouds.
5. Add colors if you have coloring tools.
SHAPE FLOWER ACTIVITY
(4/6/2020-4/10/2020)

2. For this project we are going to create Spring Season Flowers using Shapes!
3. Take a look at all these different shapes.
4. Let's build some flowers with some of the shapes we learned about.
5. Start with a stem and add a shape to the top of the stem to start your flower.
6. Let's add some leaves by drawing shapes on the flower stems.
7. Next add some shapes to make petals at the top of your flower.
8. If you have coloring tools you can color your awesome flowers!

Turn each circle into something fun!

Then start turning your circles into things!
