For our last activity let's make a card for our teacher!!!
Write a fun message to your teacher(s) to end the school year.
You can write a "thank you," draw a picture of your teacher, wish them a happy summer, or just draw some balloons to celebrate the end of your school year!
Send them to your teachers when you're done!

For this week's activity we will be exploring our facial expressions. Since staying home I'm sure we all have gone from happy to sad to excited to bored every few days. Let's show our facial expressions in our art!

For this weeks activity we will use lines, shapes, colors, and patterns to create a Friendly Shape Monster!

Follow the steps below to create your own monster. Try to make yours different than Mr. Lam's!
1. Start by using a fun line to create the shape of your monster.
2. Add at least 4-5 shapes to create the face of your monster.
3. Add arms and legs using more lines.
4. Add some colors to complete your monster!
CRAZY LINE + PRIMARY COLORS ACTIVITY

For this weeks activity we will practice drawing with lines, shapes, and revisit Primary Colors.
Watch the Youtube video "Geometric lines for kids - Geometry for kids" to learn about different lines.
Watch the Youtube video "Sesame Street: OK Go - Three Primary Colors" to revisit the Primary Colors (red, yellow, and blue).
INSTRUCTIONS: To begin your drawing you will need a sheet of paper, a pencil/pen, and red, yellow, blue crayons, markers, or coloring pencils. Follow the steps below.
1. Start drawing any kind of line across your paper. It can be wavy, curly, zig-zag, or a bunch of straight lines.
2. Add 3 shapes anywhere on your paper. Make sure the shapes are on top of the lines you drew.
3. Choose a Primary Color to start with and start coloring 3 sections of your drawing.
4. Next choose your second color to color in 3 more sections.
5. Use your third Primary Color to color in 3 more sections of your drawing. You're done!!! Send Mr. Lam ( blam@houstonisd.org ) your drawing so I can post it on the website.
PHYSICAL FOUND COLOR WHEEL

For this weeks activity we will look around our home for items to create a "FOUND" Color Wheel!
The Color Wheel is a circle made of the 3 Primary Colors (red, yellow, and blue) as well as the 3 Secondary colors that they make when mixed together (green, orange, and purple).
We will be creating our own Color Wheel using items found around your home.
Look around your home to find things of all different colors and try to put them in a circle in the right color order.
Watch the Youtube video "Found Physical Color Wheel" to get an idea of how to assemble your Found Color Wheel.
Once you have created your Found Color Wheel you can take a picture of it and email it to me. With your parents' permission I can post it to the website's Art Gallery.
Look at these examples of other Found Color Wheels to give yourself an idea of how to make yours.
Follow the steps below if you would like to draw your own Color Wheel on paper!
Start by drawing a circle
2. Draw a line down the middle of your circle
3. Draw a letter "X" through the circle

NUMBER ANIMAL ACTIVITY
(4/6/2020-4/10/2020)
For this weeks activity we will be taking numbers then using our imaginations to transform them into animals!

2. On a sheet of paper start with writing the numbers 1-10.
3. Use your imagination to think about what animals the numbers might look like. Start transforming your numbers into whatever animals you would like. Use mammals, birds, invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, fish, or even dinosaurs. Be creative. Take your time!
4. If you have coloring tools add some colors to your creatures!
