Research Areas

My research is primarily in public economics and urban economics, with an emphasis on the role of government. I'm drawn to applied questions where data can help explain how people respond to policies and institutions, and what those responses mean in practice. Broadly, my interests span public economics and public finance, urban and regional development, and economics education. I'm always open to collaborative projects with colleagues (and students!) and I really enjoy working on interdisciplinary projects.
