This article talks about a scam that allowed an artificial intelligence app to collect financial data. Phishing is a social cyberattack where scammers impersonate trustworthy sources and they trick you into revealing sensitive data like passwords, credit card numbers, or personally identifiable information. Think of it as those random text messages saying your FedEx package is lost in the mail and they need your information to track it but you don't have a package coming from FedEx. Phishing is a preventable attack but only if you are precautious. For instance, you can set your computer and phone software to update automatically, having multi-factor authentication on any accounts you own, and backing up your data.

It's unclear how it happened, but the attacks that are happening to hospitals all over the world are causing a life-threatening impact on patients. Ransomware attacks are a form of cyberattacks that take organization's information systems until they pay a significant amount of money or in other words a ransom to release them back to the original owner. Ransomware attacks are almost impossible to prevent, but you can always be more proactive by thinking twice before clicking links that are unverified or that look sketchy. You can also keep your security updated and use different and strong passwords.
