During the developement of the game, I worked on writing a clean and easy to follow documentation to help me better organize my thoughts and vision of the game.
At the end of Abyss Clicker's developement, I took care of some finishing touches and polished the rest of the documentation so that it could be easily understood even to someone with no knowledge about the project.
I studied and analyzed the different elements that make incremental games addicting and fun, and I managed to implement most of the concepts found in the genre.
This is applied to all mechanics present in the game, from the collection of food, to the incremental effect present on the mass counter, to even the upgrades and milestones the player can obtain.
I worked on a very complex and interconnected system that would balance the player's in-game growth, keeping them with always something new to play around with while not giving them too much too quickly.
I also worked on a time-based formula that would give upgrades in the shop a fairly balanced price and value without having to insert them manually. This helped a lot on the reiteration of many of the gameplay elements, letting me add more than 250 upgrades in the game with little to no problems.
