Rotate the multiverse itself on a quest for JAM!

Muffin is a really, really cute cat wizard with the power of space bending manipulation, on a quest to get his paws on some delicious jam.

Move across universes to reach it, but beware of monsters!

Space is like a clock, and you can move it!

Using his powers, Muffin can rotate Space Rings clock-wise or counterclock-wise, letting him choose which universe to teleport on.

The types of universes he can come across can contain huge and angry monsters, a mysterious cave which no-one knows what's inside, or even a nice little rest area to eat some food and relax.

Mechanics Design

I was responsible for the initial pitch of the game, including mechanics and gameplay loop.

My goal was to create a small but replayable prototype within the 48 hours given by the game jam, offering something unique and interesting while avoiding long crunch periods due to the implementation of complex mechanics.

Difficulty Progression

I was responsible of the game's progression.

Knowing that our game relies a lot on well balanced randomness, my main focus was to find multiple formulas that would set the game's difficulty in a way that would challenge the player without overwhelming them.
