To deepen my 3D knowledge I decided to join a course where I had the opportunity to learn more about rigging.
I made a simple model with a head, hips, legs and arms so that I could start with learning the basics in rigging. I also added moveable ears and a tail as an extra little challenge.

In this video I show the full character rig, the drivers and controllers, weightpainting, movement and a detailed look into constraints and inverse kinematics.
Besides rigging I also tried my hand at animating for the first time in my second year!
My goal was to create a character intro animation inspired by games like overwatch.
My character "May" has always wanted to be a magical girl, she has a big personality and is overly eager (and a little cocky) in her abilities once she finally gets the chance to live up to her dream.
