The History of the Jade Lotus Empire

The mighty empire of the Jade Lotus was founded after years of immense struggle, oppression, and hatred.

Five-hundred years ago, two mighty dragons inhabited a city that was run by overzealous humans. One dragon had scales of a crimson hue, with intellect as sharp as his horrendous teeth, known to the people as the Great Red Wyrm. The other dragon was the near-opposite of the Red, with scales of an alabaster hue that reflected her pure nature and gentle heart, the Pure Fortune Wyrm. Many rumors circulated between the dragons that were lost to time- some whisper that these two were even friends once, or were believed to be mere elves. One day, a skirmish broke out between the two dragons- leading to the near-destruction of the city and the death of the king. While the terrible Red was distracted, the Fortune dragon ended the battle with a fatal blow.

Distraught over the altercation that nearly cost her life, the loss of lives because of the senseless violence, and the self-destructive behavior of the city, the Fortune Wyrm took to the mountains with a proclamation. She aimed to create a city where all races were welcome and the people could flourish, far away from the influence of zealotry and the gods who may or may not have left the people. A small few took up the promise of the Fortune Wyrm, and the empire was coveted in thick mist for five-hundred years, allowing for the Jade to nurture its power into what it is today.

In recent times, the mists of the Jade reeled back to reveal a city of customs and cultures found nowhere else.

Compared to Helheim and Cabbala Amartia, the Jade Lotus Empire is an exotic land of strange cultures and customs. It is a land of noble warriors, mysterious shamans, seductive courtesans, and cunning spies. Its people hold to the Seven Tenets - Courage, Compassion, Courtesy, Duty, Honesty, Honor, and Sincerity.. All paths are laid out in the Celestial Order. Regardless of origins, those dedicated to the path of honor often find themselves drawn to the ways of the Empire.
