Ever since I was young I have been fascinated with how things are made, how they work, and how they are fixed. I love to figure out things on my own to my fullest extent. I always wanted to become an engineer but wasn't sure which field was right for me, until I learned that my grandfather was an aviation engineer. Talking with him, I could tell how intelligent he was in his field. This has inspired me to go down a similar path.
I'm currently taking Engineering and Pre-Calculus and I have taken AP Physics and Honors Algebra 2 along with many other classes to achieve my goal. So far, I have learned important math and science skills that I believe will help me pursue aviation Engineering. In my Engineering class I have earned a several of certifications that will help me achieve my goal. I am challenging myself in and out of school, trying to be better than yesterday.
One class I have taken is NJROTC, which has taught me valuable life skills like teamwork, leadership, importance of following directions, and importance of having a clear goal. NJROTC has offered knowledge and mentorship like no other class could offer. Through this I have learned how to work with and lead a group to a common goal.
Once I graduate high school, I plan to go into a four-year college. While I'm there, I will be determined to learn and push myself as much as I can to further my education while taking advantage of any opportunity to learn.
Becoming an aviation engineer will allow me to help make technological improvements which will positively impact everyone's daily life. for example, it may help people have the chance to connect more often or may help the military defend our country. There are an infinite amount of possibilities on how aviation engineering will help the world move forward together.
