BigBank is a custom map I made in Hammer editor for the game Team Fortress Two.
I made it for the Multiplayer Level Design module in my third year of University, and before this module I had never used Hammer editor before, so this was my first attempt at making maps for Source Engine!
Some screenshots of the final, fully developed map.
Over the course of the project, I learnt the basics of Hammer editor and realised I actually really enjoy it! In the future I may even make more maps on my own time - I'd especially love to try making a Payload map.
I also made design documents and layout diagrams to effectively convey what I was going for with my design.

A design diagram on line-of-sight and why the balcony is an important part of BigBank's design.
In addition, to test my skills in recognising map design in games other than TF2, I tried doing a map breakdown of Bannerfall from Destiny 2 by grabbing a layout diagram and finding things such as sniper sightlines, chokepoints, etc.

I also made devlog videos showing my map at various stages of development - here's the final one, which had commentary, as well as a video showing bot tests earlier in development:

A video showing how I used bot matches to test how balanced the map is.
Down below are links to the map's Steam Workshop page so you can give it a try, as well as to a Google Drive containing some of the documents I wrote for the module.
