Hi! My name is Claudia, and I’m excited to serve my fifth year on the PTA board as PTA Secretary in the 2026/27 school year. I’m the proud mom of two wonderful kids: Kaia, who is going into 6th grade, and Vincent, who is starting 9th. 

Originally from Germany, we moved to Santa Barbara in 2014 and joined Isla Vista Elementary in 2021, where we felt right at home. I love being part of such a vibrant, international school and enjoy bringing different cultures together through events and celebrations.  In addition to my role as Secretary, I co-chair two major annual events — the UCSB Carnival and Teacher Appreciation Week - and lend a hand at most other PTA activities throughout the year.  

With a professional background in marketing and communications,  I also enjoy creating flyers and other materials to support our events. Outside of Isla Vista, I’m involved with the German School in Santa Barbara, where we bring together children from (mostly) German-speaking families on Saturday mornings. I’m looking forward to another great year with our amazing Seahawk community!
