Hello, and welcome to Isla Vista PTA. My name is Megan Morf, and I have been a part of Isla Vista since 2017. My husband and I grew up in the South Bay and started calling Santa Barbara home in 2011. We have 4 children. Our oldest is a freshman in high school; we also have an 8th grader as well as a 5th and 3rd grader here at Isla Vista School.  In my pre-mom life, I was an elementary school teacher, so the board knew my experience on both sides of PTA would be appreciated. I have served as the VP of Fundraising and now have been PTA president (and co-president) for 5 years.  My PTA journey began as soon as my oldest was in kindergarten. I started helping out and volunteering at many events such as Teacher Appreciation Week, Jog-A-Thon, the Glow Dance, as well as volunteering my time inside the classrooms. In February 2020, I was finally convinced to join the board, then the pandemic hit. What a wild ride that was! Since then, I have worked to rebuild this board and begin a new legacy of strength. The board is excited to have another year of amazing events and fundraisers! PTA cannot run events or fundraisers with parent volunteers, so PLEASE sign up for as many events as you can!  GO SEAHAWKS!
