I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE). I hold a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and a Ph.D. from the National Centre for Cell Science, Pune. My postdoctoral training at Yale University School of Medicine focused on vascular biology and metabolism in the context of angiogenesis and cardiovascular disease pathophysiology.
My research interests lie at the intersection of vascular biology, metabolism, and cardiovascular disorders, aiming to uncover novel therapeutic targets. I have contributed to over twenty peer-reviewed articles, highlighting my commitment to advancing our understanding of these complex diseases. Collaboration is at the heart of my work, having joined forces with colleagues across disciplines to push the boundaries of our knowledge.
As an educator, I strive to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in my students, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in tackling scientific challenges.
Looking forward, I aim to expand our lab's research capabilities and foster an environment of innovation and discovery. Outside the lab, I find inspiration in nature, often reflecting on the intricate systems that mirror those we study in human biology.
